When I was little I ate everything. Ok, not everything like I wasn’t a picky kid, but everything like I ate A LOT. More than my share. (Confession: I still do…)
My parents tell me that when I went to preschool I would first eat breakfast at home and then go to preschool and have second breakfast (like in Lord of the Rings). They must have found out about it from my teachers. I remember always having a round belly, a cheesy grin, and a guilty conscience that always wanted sweet sweet foods.
I guess I haven’t changed much.
I started this blog while living in Boston and attending graduate school at Boston University. While there I obtained my Masters in Gastronomy through a program started by the great Jacques Pepin and Julia Child. What’s Gastronomy, you may ask? Gastronomy is the study of food through culture, history, anthropology, nutrition, and many other disciplines. It is not culinary school and it is not a medical field (gastroenterology). I stayed in Boston for a few years after finishing my degree until my husband’s job moved us out to beautiful Seattle, WA.
Follow my blog to read about my adventures in cooking for myself, my loved ones, and others as I explore new recipes and techniques.
Looking forward to reading about your adventures, Erin, oh Great High Priestess of Lemon Squares.
Great High Priestess of Lemon Squares? How did I earn that awesome title?
Hey Erin! Thanks for linking up today. I knew a few kids that pulled the old double breakfast trick- too funny! I look forward to seeing more from you next week 🙂

K, thanks for the invitation! It was great to check out your blog and connect with some other bloggers!
Hi Erin, I guess it’s been a long time since i’ve been in touch. I didn’t know you had moved to Seattle! I love the idea of roasted cherry tomatoes. I’m going to try them very soon and put them on french bread for bruschetta. I’ll let you know how it comes out.
Love, aunt kitty
